In a celebration of courage, service, and leadership, more than three dozen women from diverse sectors were honoured at a special event in Jhansi under Mission Shakti Phase 5.0.

Recognising Women Changemakers
At the ceremony, senior district officials praised the awardees for their dedication and for becoming role models in their respective communities. “Mission Shakti is not only about safety, but also about celebrating women who inspire change. Today’s honourees remind us of the strength and resilience women bring to every sector,” one official said.
The recognition included teachers promoting education for girls, police officers ensuring women’s safety, administrators implementing welfare schemes, and members of self-help groups supporting rural livelihoods.
Mission Shakti’s Broader Impact
Launched by the Uttar Pradesh government, Mission Shakti aims to empower women through initiatives in security, respect, and self-reliance. Felicitation events like the one in Jhansi are designed to highlight the achievements of women who are making a tangible difference at the grassroots level.
Inspiring the Next Generation
The women honoured at the Jhansi event expressed gratitude and pledged to continue working for community welfare. Organisers hoped that such recognition would inspire younger generations to follow in their footsteps and contribute actively to social development.
The event concluded with a call for collective responsibility in supporting women’s empowerment and building safer, more inclusive communities.
