Jaipur Set to Receive ₹450 Crore Infrastructure Boost

The Rajasthan government has announced a major infrastructure drive in Jaipur, with development projects totaling over ₹450 crore scheduled for launch or inauguration on September 29. The initiative is aimed at improving urban mobility, upgrading basic services, and enhancing the overall quality of life for city residents.

A key feature of the plan includes the construction of an elevated road between Gopalpura Bypass and Gurjar ki Thadi, designed to reduce congestion at major traffic junctions and improve connectivity across the city.

In addition to road construction, significant works will be carried out in Jaipur’s sewerage and drainage systems. Expansion of the sewerage network in Prithviraj Nagar and Sanganer zones will help address sanitation challenges, while new trunk drainage lines in Bambala aim to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon. Several city roads, including Vandemataram and Journalist roads, are also slated for major improvements to facilitate smoother traffic flow and safer commutes.

Officials highlighted that this large-scale development initiative is part of the state government’s broader urban modernization program, seeking to strengthen Jaipur’s infrastructure and support its growing population. “These projects will not only enhance urban mobility but also improve civic amenities and the overall standard of living for Jaipur residents,” said a senior government official.

The ₹450 crore investment represents a significant step in Rajasthan’s commitment to modernizing city infrastructure, creating better roads, drainage systems, and sustainable urban development across Jaipur.
