The ‘Shakti Samvad – A Platform for the Voices of Girls and Women’ event concluded successfully in Lucknow, marking the culmination of International Girl Child Week. Organized under Mission Shakti 5.0 by the Department of Women and Child Development, the initiative brought together over 2,000 participants, including women and girls from across the state.
The event provided a platform for direct dialogue between government representatives and the participants, highlighting challenges faced by women and girls and evaluating the effectiveness of government schemes such as the CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Child Service Scheme, and the Widow Pension Scheme.
District magistrates and senior officials actively engaged with attendees, addressing concerns and offering guidance. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and interactive sessions, the program reached over 14.70 lakh beneficiaries, promoting women’s empowerment, safety, and social inclusion.
