In a landmark move to empower young women, the Uttar Pradesh government launched the “Driving My Dreams”program under its Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign. The initiative, rolled out during International Girl Child Week, aims to provide free driving training for girls, enhancing their independence, safety, and mobility.

The program seeks to equip girls with essential driving skills, enabling them to commute safely and confidently. By offering this training at no cost, the government hopes to break traditional barriers and encourage greater participation of women in public life.

On its first day, over 3,000 girls from rural and urban areas registered for the program. Officials set a target to train 7,500 girls throughout the month, signaling a strong commitment to expanding opportunities for young women across the state.
